The Canadian Swim Patrol Levels (Rookie, Ranger, and Star) are provided by the Lifesaving Society, and begin introducing lifesaving skills to strong swimmers age 8-12 years. The three levels of Swim Patrol will be co-taught. Completion of Swimmer 6 is recommended before starting the Swim Patrol courses. Rookie Patrol: Swimmers continue stroke development with 50m swims of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. Lifesaving sport skills include a 25m obstacle swim and 15m object carry.
