Organization Terms

1. Authority and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the Organization in the role offered. By accepting an Owner role, you confirm that you have authority to manage the Organization’s KIDO presence, team access, listings, and acceptance of these Terms. Do not accept or use access intended for another person or Organization.

2. Roles and team access

Editors can manage permitted Organization content. Owners can also invite or remove team members and manage roles. Owners must give access only to authorized people, review team access, and promptly remove anyone who changes duties or leaves the Organization. Each person must use their own account.

3. Accurate listings and representations

The Organization is responsible for keeping its identity, contact information, locations, dates, schedules, prices, ages, capacity, accessibility, availability, cancellation terms, safety information, and registration links accurate and current. Correct material errors promptly. Do not imply a KIDO endorsement, inspection, licence, or safety certification that KIDO has not expressly provided.

4. Content rights

The Organization keeps ownership of content it submits. It gives KIDO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, format, display, distribute, and use that content to operate, market, and improve KIDO and to present or promote the Organization’s KIDO listings in KIDO emails and social channels.

The Organization confirms that it has the rights and permissions needed for names, logos, photos, text, and other submitted material, including appropriate consent for images of people. The licence ends when the content is removed, except for reasonable backups, already-published materials, audit evidence, and uses required by law.

5. Children and user information

Do not use Organization tools to collect or publish unnecessary child information. Do not post a child’s full identity with a precise routine, live location, school schedule, private contact information, medical information, or image without the necessary authority and consent. Organization access does not permit exporting, repurposing, or contacting KIDO users outside the feature and permission shown to you.

6. Public-source data and audit records

KIDO can maintain listings from provider-owned or other public sources before or after a claim. Claiming an Organization does not transfer ownership of KIDO’s database, taxonomy, source records, corrections, or compiled catalog data. KIDO may preserve source evidence, previous values, role records, agreement versions, disputes, moderation decisions, and audit history to maintain accuracy, security, accountability, and legal compliance.

7. Access and ownership disputes

KIDO can request reasonable proof of identity, employment, authority, domain control, or Organization affiliation. During a dispute, KIDO can pause invitations, edits, publishing, or access while it reviews available evidence. KIDO may correct roles or transfer administrative control when reasonably supported by verified Organization authority.

8. Service messages

KIDO may send invitations, access alerts, security notices, review decisions, listing-change notices, and other transactional messages needed to manage Organization access. These are separate from optional marketing messages.

9. Suspension and termination

KIDO may restrict edits, unpublish content, remove a role, or suspend Organization access when reasonably needed to address inaccurate or unlawful content, rights complaints, security risks, impersonation, repeated policy breaches, abandoned access, or harm to families, providers, or the service. Where practical, KIDO will explain the issue and allow a correction.

10. Responsibility

The Organization is responsible for its activities, staff, content, registrations, transactions, and services. To the extent permitted by law, the Organization is responsible for claims and reasonable costs caused by its unlawful content, lack of required rights, misrepresentation, or breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by KIDO’s own fault.

11. Law and updates

Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these Terms. Courts located in Waterloo Region, Ontario have jurisdiction unless applicable law requires another forum. KIDO may update these Terms and will request renewed acceptance before continued Organization access when a material change requires it.
