KIDO policy
Terms of Use
These Terms are the agreement between you and KIDO Events (“KIDO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for using KIDO’s website, accounts, and related services. By creating an account or continuing to use an account, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to create or use a KIDO account. If you use KIDO for an organization, you also agree to the Organization Terms and confirm that you have authority for the role you accept.
2. What KIDO provides
KIDO helps families find events, camps, programs, and organizations. Unless KIDO clearly says otherwise, KIDO does not organize, operate, supervise, endorse, license, inspect, or guarantee a listed activity or provider.
Listings can change or contain errors. Confirm dates, prices, availability, accessibility, supervision, waivers, refund terms, health requirements, and safety details directly with the provider before relying on a listing or attending.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from KIDO’s failure to use reasonable safeguards.
4. Lists, sharing, follows, and Ask Do
You can save listings, share selected lists, follow organizations, and use community or assistant features. Check sharing settings before sending a link or accepting a collaborator. Ask Do responses can be incomplete or wrong and are not professional, medical, legal, or safety advice. Verify important information with the provider or another qualified source.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give KIDO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, format, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, improve, moderate, and promote the KIDO service. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.
The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. KIDO may review, limit, remove, or preserve content when reasonably needed to enforce these Terms, protect people, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
6. Acceptable use and child privacy
Do not misuse KIDO, interfere with its operation, access data without permission, scrape or automate access in a way that burdens the service, impersonate someone, mislead families, distribute malware, or use KIDO unlawfully.
Do not post a child’s full name with identifying details, precise routine or live location, school or childcare schedule, private contact information, medical information, or images without the necessary consent. KIDO accounts are for adults and are not child profiles.
7. Providers and third-party services
Providers, registration systems, maps, social networks, and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. Your transaction or relationship with them is between you and that third party. KIDO is not responsible for their acts, omissions, content, or availability.
8. KIDO materials
KIDO and its licensors own the KIDO name, design, software, compilations, and other service materials, apart from content owned by users, organizations, or third parties. You may use the service for personal, family, or authorized organization purposes. No other licence is granted.
9. Service changes, suspension, and termination
We may change or discontinue features. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, unpaid abuse costs, repeated policy breaches, or protection of users and organizations. You can stop using KIDO at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers and responsibility
KIDO is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, KIDO does not promise uninterrupted access or that every listing, recommendation, or third-party activity is accurate, suitable, safe, or available.
To the extent permitted by law, KIDO is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or third-party losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
11. Ontario law
Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these Terms. Courts located in Waterloo Region, Ontario have jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires another forum.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as KIDO changes. We will post the updated version and effective date. If a material change requires a new agreement, we will ask account holders to accept it before continuing to use the affected feature.
